Forum rules

You must agree to the following in order to register

At all times the staff of the site reserve the right to change, interpret or add to the rules without notice as reason dictates based upon changing situations. What is listed here is not set in stone, and the governing factor in all cases should be "What makes the most sense?"

This is a family friendly site. While the game is made for a certain audience, just as a movie might be - the behavior in the movie theater is expected to be better than that depicted in the film.

*Please do not cuss.

This includes abbreviated vulgarity such as "OMMG" or "*****." We all know what it means and the word enters our mind when we see it. It also includes masked vulgarity or "bleeped" swearing.

*Please do not troll or flame other members of the community.

Trolling is the act of provoking someone on purpose (or even on accident in some cases) to get a desired response. Usually to start an argument.

Flaming is insulting someone else in an inappropriate manner.

*Please do not spam the site.

This includes posting back-to-back rather than using the edit feature, or posting rapidly in excessive threads and "posting for the sake of posting." When making a post, we should ask ourselves if that post contributes to the topic. If the answer isn't "Yes!" then we should probably not make the post.

This also includes spam games. We have a couple of spam threads already. Users are welcome to use those threads. We do ask that no additional "spam games" be created, however.

And finally this also includes petitions of any sort, "versus threads," inane posts, posts or thread titles in all caps, "leet speak" or any other type of post that is generally detrimental to the quality of the site.

Duplicate threads are considered spam. Please use the search feature at the top of the boards to see if a topic has already been posted.

*Site Staff

The site staff are tasked with insuring the quality of the community over all and they have a job to do. If a member is contacted by the staff they are expected to respond to the staff member in the same manner they were reached (usually Private Messages).

Whenever there is a question about a site rule, please feel free to ask the staff for clarity on the rule (but not to argue about the rule).

Do not engage in argument (public or private) over moderations. The rules are what they are and a board disruption won't change that. It will however, disrupt the community and can result in suspension of posting privileges. The staff can always be contacted privately, and doing so almost universally produces better results for everyone. If there's a disagreement or confusion about something, we ask that members take the community into consideration and contact the staff privately.

The staff can be contacted through their profiles on the site. For any questions, or when in doubt about an issue, please feel free to contact the staff for specifics.

*Do not impersonate site staff, even as a joke.

This includes names that are similar to theirs or their avatars. It confuses new members especially, and we need it to be clear where they can go for help.

*Pictures

Again, this is a family friendly site. We ask that all pictures remain "in good taste" for the site. This means:

+No kids! This includes yourselves! +No dead bodies. +No pictures of real people being held hostage. +No matter how beautiful they are, people (male or female), should be fully clothed. +Pictures of cuss words count as cuss words. +No more than three pictures per post, please! +If it can't be said or discussed in the community because it is too mature, then please don't post a picture of it.

*Links

This one's easy. If you wouldn't say it/share it/do it in the community, don't link to it from the community. Just because it's on youtube doesn't mean it's family friendly. Posters are always responsible for their links.

Do not post deceptive links. When you post a link, say where it goes and what it does, do not mislead other users, even as a joke. This includes "Rick Rolling" and other "joke" links.

*Politics/Religions

All religious or political commentary will be removed from the site. There are lots of places to argue about such things. This isn't one of them.

*The Big One!

When in doubt, ask one of the staff. We'll let you know ahead of time and spare all of us the headache. If something is in the gray area, the answer is usually no, but there are times that it is a yes. When in doubt, ask first. Then it's our fault, not yours.

And that's it! This is a wonderful community that is made entirely by the members into something special and fun! That's the point of video games after all, and this community reflects that. Keeping these few rules in mind should enable all of the members to enjoy the site to its fullest - together as one community.
